The previous champion
Zarutom
Protector of the Source
Zarutom is the Protector of the Source. Slim brushed-steel muscle-plate armour with gold trim added for royalty, a long black cape, a feline blade-eared helmet with glowing blue mechanical irises, a blue core at the belt. His hall is open-air daylight: black-and-white marble with gold inlay, a stair to a throne under a golden trident crest, a colonnade open to a sky-city.
He was the champion once, the strongest there was. A life bound by orders and spent almost entirely in the hall stopped his power growing, and his disciples went out into the universe and grew theirs. He is annoyed most of the time, and the petitioners chanting for music do not help.

His agents kneel at the foot of the stair. Open air and daylight. Black-and-white marble with gold inlay, a stair to a throne beneath a golden trident crest, a colonnade open to a sky-city. He almost never leaves it.
